March 2009 I Bernar Venet at Venice Biennale
Congratulations to Bernar Venet who will be exhibiting three large sculptures at the 2009 Venice Biennale from June 7 - November 22. Venet will exhibit in the Arsenale which features exhibitions organized by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Affairs. This year's Venice Biennale Director, Daniel Birnbaum, has entitled the show Making Worlds, and says "a work of art is more than an object, more than a commodity. It represents a vision of the world, and if taken seriously it can be seen as a way of worldmaking".
We congratulate Bernar Venet on his achievement and Gow Langsford is proud to be his Australasian representative.
