Currently works in France, England, and Australia

Tim Maguire was born in the United Kingdom in 1958.  He currently lives and works in Australia, France and the United Kingdom.  In 1985 he studied at the Kunstakademie Dsseldorf, and prior to that studied painting at both the Sydney College of the Arts and The City Art Institute, Sydney. In 1993 he won the Moet and Chandon Australian Art Fellowship.  Recent exhibitions include a solo shows at Birminghams Ikon Gallery, UK, 2008 and at Galerie Andreas Binder, Munich, 2007.  His work was selected for inclusion in Optimism, 2008, The Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.  Tim Maguires work is held in numerous public and corporate collections in Australia and abroad, including the National Gallery of Australia, Sydney; The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide and Deutsche Bank, London.
