December 2010 / Dick Frizzell launches range for Rugby World Cup 2011

Dick Frizzell's Rugby World Cup 2011 range was unveiled at an event in Auckland last night. Frizzell, in partnership with Gow Langsford Gallery, has produced a series of imagery to celebrate the event. Along with the range of apparel, Frizzell has created a limited edition boxed set of screenprints. 
September 2010 / Dick Frizzell at Cable Bay Vineyards

An exhibition by Dick Frizzell is currently on view at Cable Bay Vineyards, Waiheke Island. The exhibition brings together a collection of Frizzell's text based paintings and limited editions which relate closely to the wine and food atmosphere of the vineyard. October 2009 I Dick Frizzell The Painter
Dick Frizzell's new monograph Dick Frizzell - The Painter was launched at Gow Langsford Gallery last night. Published by Random House, it is an exquisite publication with over 300 pages documenting the artists career to date. Available from Parsons bookshop (RRP $75).

17. 02. 2009 I An afternoon with Dick Frizzell to be auctioned at the Annual Rescue Helicopter Cocktail Party
The Hastings Karamu Rotary Club is holding their annual fundraising event for the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter Service which will be held at the Hawkes Bay Opera House in Hastings on Friday 6th March. A highlight of the evening will be the annual charity auction and raffle, one item of which comprises of an afternoon painting with Hawkes Bay artist Dick Frizzell. Since moving to Hawkes Bay six years ago, Dick Frizzell has been actively involved in the wider community and a generous supporter of regional charitable projects. More...
Dick Frizzell in Sinfonia Antartica at The New Dowse Museum
Sinfonia Antartica explores the Antarctic landscape though paintings, photographs, music and sculpture from ten NZ artists who illustrate the alien landscape with an artistic medley that ranges from global warming and the Erebus disaster. Sinfonia Antartica, showcases this great white continent as seen through the eyes of painters Dick Frizzell and Nigel Brown, ceramist Raewyn Atkinson, poets Bill Manhire and Chris Orsman, jeweller Kirsten Haydon and photographers Ann Noble, Andris Apse and Joyce Campbell.

This years event will again be hosted at the Hawkes Bay Opera House with the opportunity for guests to bid on an afternoon with Dick Frizzell as well as a range of excellent items generously donated by local businesses. The Rotary Clubs special guests on the night will include prominent local identities Paul Holmes who will be M.C, and Laurence Redshaw, who will be auctioneer. During the evening guests will enjoy great Hawkes Bay food by Dish Catering, complimented by Craggy Range wine and Domain Chandon champagne.
All funds raised from the evening go directly to the Trust with last years Cocktail Party raising in excess of $85,000 on the night.
