Gary Langsford
Director

Gary Langsford is a founding director of Gow Langsford Gallery, and has also been a director of John Leech Gallery since 1995.   Gary has worked as a specialist in contemporary New Zealand art for over two decades and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Auckland.  He also has a strong knowledge in 20th Century Decorative Arts, and has a particular interest in the wider international art market.  Gary is a founding member of the New Zealand Contemporary Art Dealers Association.

John Gow
Director

John Gow is a founding director of Gow Langsford Gallery, and also been involved with John Leech Gallery since 1981, becoming director in 1995. John has a strong interest in both historical and contemporary New Zealand art, gained from his wide experience advising private collectors, acting as a consultant to corporate collections, museums and public institutions.

Anoushka Akel
Manager / Exhibitions
Anoushka Akel returned from London in 2006, where she worked as studio assistant for Australian painter Tim Maguire.  Anoushka worked for several years with Tolarno Galleries, Melbourne and The Melbourne Museum, and recently completed a curatorial internship with The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice.  Anoushka holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Auckland.

Gail Hofmann
Accounts
Gail Hofmann combines both her interest in contemporary art with her accounting knowledge and skills.  Gail is a keen art collector and a founding member of the Blythe Art Group.

Winsome Wild
Registration

Winsome Wild completed a Master of Arts in Art History at the University of Auckland in 2006, writing a thesis on New Zealand art magazines and the local art ‘scene’ in the 1980s and 1990s.  Winsome has previously worked as a tutor in the Art History department and as a Gallery Guide at the Auckland Art Gallery.  Most recently Winsome was the Curatorial Intern on Turbulence, the 3rd Auckland Triennial.

Shelley Jahnke-Bishop
Publications
Shelley Jahnke-Bishop co-ordinates publications and advertising for Gow Langsford and John Leech Galleries. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master of Arts in Art History (Hons) in 2003, writing a thesis on artist Shane Cotton. Shelley has worked as a University tutor and free-lance writer and has been with the galleries since 2004.

Anna Jackson
Works on Paper / Editions
Anna Jackson returned to New Zealand in 2007 having lived and worked in Berlin for a number of years.  She was an Editorial Intern in New York at NY Arts Magazine in 2006, for whom she is a Contributing Writer. Anna is also a regular Arts writer for Nothingmag and Art Fairs International. Anna has a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Auckland University of Technology. Anna returns to Gow Langsford Gallery having worked as Registrar from 2002 - 2004.
